Neha here from Periwinkle Creations! It is been a while since I wrote first post on this blog. I was away on vacation, visiting my son in US. I am back to this scorching heat of Ahmedabad. But that means more crafting time as you can’t go out between 11am to 7 pm. I am still under a bit of Jet lag but my DT goodies from Letzcraft was waiting for me. So here I go.
For this post, I am focusing on mini stamp sets by Altenew (Daisy) and Pink and Main (Wishes) . Altenew’s layering stamps are super awesome but honestly, the higher price point stops me many times to get one. In that case, the mini ones are the perfect option to indulge into layered stamping. The only drawback is it doesn’t have any sentiments. So I have used another mini set by Pink And Main which has a bold ‘Wishes’ stamp combined with many small sentiments to make your own message. I like the versatility of such sets.
For the first card, I used multiple inks from ‘Northern Lights’ and ‘Glacier Caves’ collections to stamp my images. Leaves are done using inks from ‘Rock Collection’ . Yes, I am an ink addict and altenew inks are my most favourite so far.
If your same inks looks different than mine on card, that is probably the card stock you are using. I have used Neenah Solar White 110lb. We all have heard about this paper and craved for it for so long but now, you can get it from Letz Craft store.
Keep in mind to get ‘ Solar White’ which is the white shade of paper and quite different from ‘avalanche’ white which is the variant of same Neenah paper. The whiteness makes lots off difference. On Solar white, the inks just pop giving brightest images ever.
For the card, I stamped multiple flowers and leaves with blue and teal inks. In some flowers I have used just first two layers to give some variation. Sentiment was first stamped in Memento black ink using MISTI. I kept the stamp on MISTI and moved the card a little bit on left and stamped the sentiment with versamark ink and embossed with Nuvo – Glimmer Embossing Powder – Gold Enchantment. Such offset stamping creates shadows and gives instant pop to sentiments. Birthday was stamped on a strip of paper and adhered using foam tape. I finished the card by embellishing with matt enamel dots.
Second card is the perfect example on how you can use your same stamp for totally different look.
Here i have used Papericious Colored Card Stock – Tame Teal. The inks are Volcano Lake & Lagoon from northern lights collection. I stamped two layers of flowers and leaves, let it dry and stamped and embossed third layer of flower in Nuvo embossing powder. I added details with markers & white gel pen in the center of flowers. For the white accent flower, I used first layer stamp to emboss in white on piece of same teal CS, second- teal layer is stamped with Volcano and embossed in clear, third layer is stamped in versamark embossed in gold embossing powder. It is layered embossing which gives beautiful puffy looking sticker. Mom sentiment is layered dies from SSS. You can use any sentiment die for it. I used Letz Craft’s Bombay Blue CS and Dcwv Glitter Metallics Solid. Check the embossed flower below.
Third project is a tag and for that, I stamped the first, solid layer with multiple inks from red cosmos and red sunset collections to create ombre look. Here I have used 80lb, thinner version of Neenah Solar as it is easier to fussy cut thin paper. I just used 1st and last layer to build the flower. Added some hand cut leaves and twine to finish it off.
Hope you enjoyed the post. Have a wonderful day & keep crafting…:)
