Neha here! Today, I am sharing 2 cards and few tags made using Lawn Fawn Mini Picture frame die.
The first card uses a pattern paper from Lawn fawn as a base panel. I cut all the frames from various colored CS . I also used a mini – Love You Tons stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I selected frames by laying out on card base like this
Once the layout was final, I clicked a pic with my phone for future reference. Then I cut Neenah Solar 80 lb card stock by tracing the inner part of frames and fussy cutting. In some, I stamped the elephants for the mini stamp set and for others, I ink blended Victorian Velvet distress ink. The stamped images are colored with copics. I also cut frames from white foam sheet. Mount all the frames on foam cut outs, adhere base pieces and glue down all the frames on panel as planned before(here you can refer the pic you took). Cut out the extra, hanging parts of frames. I embossed the sentiment on a strip of Beirut Black CS with Hero Arts White embossing powder. This is an excellent white powder with fine grains which will give sharp embossed images without loosing any details. I specially love it for sentiments.
These die frames are small so they are really good to frame small images and emphasizing on them to make them focal point. By using small image repetitively, the way I did, you can enhance the message. For example, here sentiment says ‘love you tons’ so I repeated little elephants several times which will give visual effect of ‘tons’.
There were many leftover, middle portions from the die cuts. They also had stitched details and were toot good to ignore. So I made few simple tags with tiny messages on it.
Last one is my favorite! Which one is yours?
The second card uses for you, Deer stamp set by lawn fawn along with one of the picture frame die.
Cut out a window in the center with one of the picture frame die. Cut another frame for gold mirror card stock . Stamp, color and fussy cut bear’s front and back from a white CS. Sandwich a strip of blue cs between gold frame in front and inked frame in the back side of the window. Glue back anf front part of bear and hang it on the blue strip inside the window. Emboss sentiment in white and add black nail and twine details for the frame to finish off the card.
That is all for today! Hope you enjoy the post! Have an awesome, crafty day!
